*Open to UVa Internal Candidates Only* The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a Senior Medical Office Coordinator. This position provides primary clerical and administrative support for faculty members in a busy clinical setting. The incumbent is responsible for maintenance of a research database, fellowship coordination, patient scheduling, and faculty calendar management. Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years administrative experience in a busy clinical office setting; or a Bachelor's degree. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. Knowledge of administrative procedures, the ability to analyze and present information, work independently, and provide direct support to leaders, and excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions are required. Experience with clinic management/scheduling, fellowship programs, and interacting with patients with digestive diseases and those undergoing endoscopy is preferred. Experience with Epic and A2K3 is also preferred. This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
